What's New in Washington -- and What It Means for Airports

Ally Fields and Craig Louden from CMT will update on the latest legislative efforts and policy changes from DC, including FAA's recently released draft AIP handbook and what it may mean for airports throughout our region.

Ally Fields serves as CMT’s government affairs manager, leading a team that tracks government trends and funding opportunities to advise the firm’s staff and clients. She assists airport sponsors and other clients in navigating federal programs, developing outreach strategies and grant narratives, and finding creative policy solutions. She also serves on the board of the Airport Consultants Council and previously served as chair of the organization’s Advocacy Committee. Prior to CMT, she worked as a senior advisor on Capitol Hill, handling a broad range of infrastructure policy issues for a member of the U.S. House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee. Ally has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale and a master’s in public policy and administration from Northwestern.

Craig Louden has been with CMT since 2002 in their Aurora, Illinois office.  Spending his first ten years in CMT’s airfield design and construction group, his career has involved taking on progressively increasing responsibilities through a ten-year stint in CMT’s aviation planning group to his current role as a project and client manager.  Craig has had an opportunity to work on an extremely diverse list of projects throughout seven states, from small general aviation airfield rehabilitations to a new concourse at a medium hub and a new runway at a large hub.  He is currently leading two major airfield development programs at a medium hub and a general aviation reliever airport.  Craig maintains client relationships throughout the Midwest and brings a unique skill set of design engineering, planning, stakeholder engagement and strong project management.  Craig graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000 and a Master of Science degree in 2002.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois.
